Pan-African Cultural Festival, First
Description: The first Pan-African Cultural Festival was held in Algiers in July 1969. Over 4,000 artists representing 31 African nations gathered to celebrate an independent Africa and its culture. This collection, from the personal library of the late William Buller Fagg, CMG, an expert in tribal art, features manuscripts of various addresses, speeches, and papers that were presented at the Festival.
