It is true the summary records do not cover the discussion. Mrs. Cosma has joined the secretariat and is thereby disqualified from servin on our Commission or appearing as rapporteur. So what do you think should be done about the presentation of our report in Geneva in July? Hope you can be there.

Bodil Begtrup wishes Kenyon could go to Geneva to fight for the Commission's report after you have to leave for Indo-China. Kenyon has two concerns that keep her from going, time and money. Asks MHL, as chair, to appoint her to act in place of the rapporteur, indicating I was the unanimous choice in the last meeting of the committee. Such a letter would be addressed to Malik, chairman of ECOSOC, and requesting he instruct Trygve Lie to arrange for my attendance. Important that sucha request be submitted in writing. Mme Uralova behaved much better when I was around than when I was absent. Her attack on Mrs Cosma was on a day I could not be there. I do not think she is afraid of me but I do think she respects my tongue. If Malik would instruct the UN to pay my expenses and cables me the approximate time the report will come up I might just possibly be able to make it.
