D’Estimauville is about to leave from New York City for England for the Refugee Conference. She notes that she helped found Kenyon’s Committee and is often a delegate on foreign commissions, because she lives in Lausanne. D’Estimauville tells Kenyon that she is a former educator at Haverford College, and she is a member of the International Committee of the Status of Women in Geneva, and many clubs and organizations like the Red Cross. D’Estimauville’s letter is an apology to Kenyon for assuming she could telephone her directly without knowing her, as Kenyon seemed taken aback by her informality.
