The meeting was dedicated to the celebration of the 15 years of feminist activity deployed by the Association for the Civil and Political Emancipation of Romanian Women. Description: Manuscript of report of the activity of the Association for the Civil and Political Emancipation of Romanian Women (AECPFR) for the year 1936, presented by Elena Meissner, the leader of the organization, at the AECPFR Congress from March 29, 1937. Title: The General Meeting of October 15, 1919. Yearly report. Description: Manuscript of an yearly report presented by Elena Meissner, the leader of the Association for the Civil and Political Emancipation of Romanian Women (AECPFR), at the general meeting of the organization held in Iassy, on October 15, 1919. From the report, we can gather information on the activity and structure of the feminist organization founded in 1917. The moment and circumstances of AECPFR’s establishment as well as the participants to this event is recalled in this report. Although presented as a yearly report, the document refers to the most important feminist activities undertaken by the organization since its establishment. The attempt to connect to the international women’s movement in 1918 is also mentioned in the document - a telegram was sent to London (to the International Council of Women) to announce the creation of AECPFR and a member was delegated to represent them “in the association existing in Paris”, to send information on women’s organizations active in France and facilitate connections with international women’s organizations.
