Place: Oburaku (Kiriwina). A handwritten page of notes, mostly in English with terms in the indigenous text of the Trobriands, discusses magic associated with rain and sun in the region of Oburaku on Kiriwina Island.
Described are particular magical practices and taboos. The notes are written on the back of reused stationery, consisting of a partial, typed manuscript discussing the hunting practices of the Mailu people of Papua New Guinea.
