The letter outlines the organization of the October 1933 Conference on Disarmament in Geneva. Written by the vice-president and secretary of the Disarmament Committee of the Women’s International Organizations, the authors attempt to resolve a critical tension in conference planning: how to ensure that their organization has as much influence on the upcoming October 1933 meeting as the previous conference in February 1932. The authors suggest that obtaining the cooperation of all Women’s International organizations is critical, as well as the execution of a five point strategy including 1.) the recruitment of noted public speakers on disarmament, 2.) accompanying radio broadcasts, 3.) local and national meetings prior to the conference, 4.) personal invitations to eminent public figures, and 5.) the elaboration of a working six point program for the conference.
