This is correspondence regarding equipment for Tikopia schools. Pages 1 and 2 are a typewritten letter from Raymond Firth to Hazel Sumner, dated July 8, 1975, regarding the duplicator machines she has proposed sending to Tikopia schools in exchange for his help on the Schools Council Project. Firth thanks her for her suggestion, asks that two machines be sent along with supplies, and provides Ishmael Tuki's address. He also says that he will pay...
This is correspondence regarding equipment for Tikopia schools. Pages 1 and 2 are a typewritten letter from Raymond Firth to Hazel Sumner, dated July 8, 1975, regarding the duplicator machines she has proposed sending to Tikopia schools in exchange for his help on the Schools Council Project. Firth thanks her for her suggestion, asks that two machines be sent along with supplies, and provides Ishmael Tuki's address. He also says that he will pay any remaining costs, but asks that a letter be sent to waive the custom duty on the machines. He includes a copy of his previous letter and returns the leaflet about the duplicator. He compliments the cover of the project's booklet. Page 3 is a typewritten letter from Hazel Sumner to Raymond Firth, on University of Liverpool letterhead, dated June 18, 1975, enclosing details of a possible duplicating machine for Tikopia. She asks that Firth resend a letter of his that she mislaid, and she encloses a copy of the Schools Council Program book cover. She asks that Firth contact her to begin the process of ordering the duplicators.
