In the early seventies, the traditional violin music of northern New Mexico and southern Colorado was on "the verge of disappearing," according to Roberto Martínez founder of M.O.R.E. (Minority Owned Record Enterprises) and director of the group Los Reyes de Albuquerque (The Kings of Albuquerque). In this album, Lorenzo Martínez presents and preserves traditional polkas, valses, chotes, and cutilios accompanying his own violin playing on vihuel...
