On the Greek island of Lesbos, Moria, the largest refugee camp in Europe, has become a filthy slum. When Europe confines itself, the refugees feel totally abandoned. Their anger explodes, but nothing can be done. They are the forgotten people of the COVID 19 crisis. With his friend Mortaza Behboudi, Father Maurice Joyeux, from the Jesuit Refugee Service, decided to go back there to accompany the people and help them not to sink into despair. He took the time to see the situations, to listen to the stories of the people and quickly perceived the hunger, the thirst, the endless waiting in a climate of fear and insecurity: a place of no rights, this camp had become a real hell. But his job as a priest is to share his hope in the very heart of despair. So Maurice Joyeux gets closer to the refugees. He follows in their footsteps to help them not only to survive but to live. But in September, the hell is reduced to ashes.

This video has been provided by Canada's Inuit Broadcasting Corporation (IBC) from its Inuit Film and Video Archives (IFVA). The earliest videos in the IFVA collection date from the early 1970s. Inuit videographers have captured the transition from dog teams to digital phones; they have chronicled the division of the territories, the creation of key national Inuit organizations, the concept and signing of the Inuit land claims, the creation of Nunavut, and the evolution of a new political, socio-cultural environment -- their priceless archived work represents a period that is absolutely unique in history. IBC's main production centre and IFVA facility are located in Iqaluit, the capital of the Nunavut Territory. Websites: www.inuitbroadcasting.ca; www.building4dreams.ca/about-ifva/

Eleven years in the making, TIBET HOPE, featuring His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama, chronicles the efforts of the Tibetan people to survive the invasion and occupation of their country by the Chinese government. In the words of His Holiness, “Some form of cultural genocide is taking place.” This documentary explores key Tibetan settlements in Kodari, Nepal; Dharamsala, the seat of the Tibetan government in exile in India; and several other strongholds of Tibetan culture in India. Through interviews with monks and lay people, the continuous and systematic oppression of Tibetans and their culture is explored. A poignant interview with a former spiritual prisoner reveals the horrific torture inflicted by Chinese government agents on Buddhist monks.
