A brief passage in the Trobriand language with simultaneous English translation, numbered J218, describes the adornment of the dying with valuables, which would be offered by the departed spirit to Topileta, the keeper of the underworld. The information is written on the back of reused stationery, consisting of a partial, handwritten letter from Raphael Brudo, who mentions th...
