Quickly, peaceful demonstrations, severely repressed by the regime, turned into an armed revolution. On 7/17/12, the ASL launched a major offensive in Damascus and, on the 21st, another, in Aleppo. The Battle of Aleppo began. This documentary does not pretend to retrace the history of this battle. For its authors, it is about a city at war, which has become the symbol of the Syrian revolution. Seven years later, Tunisia is experiencing an unprecedented persecution of homosexuals, the regime in place is hitting individual freedoms hard and presents itself to the world as the only democracy in the Arab world. Tortures and arrests, human rights flouted ... Is the jasmine revolution an illusion? This film traces the journey of some LGBTI people persecuted under the anal test and the article of shame: article 230, dating from the Criminal Code of 1913 which provides for up to three years in prison. The mission of SHAMS TUNISIE (among others): awareness-raising on sexually transmitted diseases, supervision of sexual minorities on material, moral and psychological levels, to work peacefully for the abolition of segregationist laws. To continue living after this tragedy, Maggy decided to stay in turmoil on her native hills ... Since then, she has been trying to defuse hatred between ethnic groups, to break the cycle of revenge, to help everyone regain their dignity . With energy, with anger, she continues her work. This woman could move mountains. Its vision is committed, political, and its action extends to a national level. She says that the war is over but that there is another war to be waged, "it is the war against poverty, against hatred, against ignorance." By filming the action of Maggy, we are confronted to a country's past. Here, people and places still bear traces of war.
