BUFFALO, N. Y.--Gripping scenes of the test flight of the Bell "Airacobra," speedy new pursuit plane. The landing gear "freezes" in mid-air, but Capt. George Price, test pilot, saves the ship by landing it on its belly!

WASHINGTON, D. C.--Impressive rites in the U. S. Capitol for the 74-yr.-old veteran of the Senate, long a champion of liberal rights and a staunch isolationist. His colleagues pay reverent tribute at special services.
COLUMBUS CREW QUITTING U.S.
OAKLAND, CALIF.--Survivors of the scuttled Nazi liner go aboard harbor boats for Angel Island, where they await deportation across the Pacific. British warships have already seized other German refugees, and their fate may be the same.
SQUALUS HEROES ARE DECORATED
WASHINGTON, D. C.--The Congressional Medal of Honor is bestowed upon four naval men for bravery during the rescue of crew members of the ill-fated submarine.

SOLOMONS ISLAND, MD.--Four aging liners, seized from Germany when the U. S. declared war in 1917 and which took 200,000 "Doughboys" to France, will be sold at auction or broken up for scrap metal. Anybody want a nice boat?
