AUSTRALIA--Dozens of Japs planes sweep over Darwin and other north Australian points, dropping destruction on many homes and stores. This wanton attack on non-military objectives is characteristics of Jap warfare. War workers save part of oil supply.

MIDWEST--A great monument to American genius for mass production nears completion. This new Henry Ford enterprise will soon be turning out bombers that will make mass attacks on enemy strongholds an everyday affair.

WASHINGTON, D. C.--The Navy Relief Society is $5,000,000. better off as Clarence Dillon, Chairman of The Citizen's National Committee, hands Secretary Knox a check for that amount.
ADMIRAL NIMITZ DECORATED
WASHINGTON, D. C.--In recognition of meritorious service in connection with his Coral Sea and Marshall Island victories, Admiral Chester Nimitz receives the Distinguished Service Medal from Admiral King. Fellow officers also congratulate the Commander in Chief of the Pacific Fleet on his historic exploits.
LIDICE REBORN IN ILLINOIS
LIDICE, ILL.--Stern Park Gardens, a small housing project near Joliet, Ill., is rechristened Lidice, in honor of the small Czech village that was razed by Nazi brutality in revenge for the death of hangman Heydrich. Wendell Willkie tells 35,000 the new Lidice is a world symbol of free men.

GUATEMALA CITY--United States troops stationed in Guatemala join the crack cadets of Ecuela Politechia, the West Point of that country, and other native troops, in celebrating the anniversary of Guatemala's revolution. General Davenport Johnson of the U. S. Army reviews parade with President Ubico.
THE KING AND QUEEN DROP IN
NORTH IRELAND--American troops guaranteed in North Ireland welcomed a recent visit by King George and Queen Elizabeth. With General Russell P. Bartle and Ambassador Winant, their Majesties review the forces, after which there is a tank demonstration; also rifle and machine gun drills.

NEW YORK, N. Y.--Good Neighbor stars twinkle and shine by the dozen in the graceful measures of The Pan Americana Ensemble at The Center Theatre. Mayita Montez in "The Samba," and 7-year old Twinkle Watts rhumba-ing with Paul Castle, are other features of a new Ice Extravaganza.
