COIN's Last Stand: The Marjah offensive was supposed to demonstrate that victory is still possible in Afghanistan. Instead it has revealed a counterinsurgency campaign in crisis. Enduring Presence: The U.S. celebrates the end of combat in Iraq, but has no plans to withdraw its thousands of Special Operations Forces and mercenaries or its "Enduring Presence Posts." Yo Soy El Army: The U.S. military is stepping up its recruitment of Latinos. Latinos enter into the lowest and most dangerous ranks, and have been disproportionately killed in America's latest wars. Million Dollar Militia: Will America's new tribal strategy in Afghanistan bring stability, or is it building "Million Dollar Tribal Militias" that will further undermine a weak Afghan state? Entrapped: A Democracy Now! investigation with Anjali Kamat into the use of paid informants in high profile "homegrown terror" cases. Is the FBI foiling terror plots or targeting and entrapping Muslims in America?

The Through West Mail, probably best known of all Australia's night mail trains, left Sydney nightly for its 289 mile run, and was steam hauled until 1967 when all steam operations out west ceased forever. On the Queen's birthday weekend of 1989, this spectacular long gone steam event was recreated--but this time with an added attraction never seen in the train's 100 years of regular running. The recreation of the Night Mail was hauled by the world-famous 4472 Flying Scotsman and Australia's famous C-38 Class Pacific 3801; and triple-heading for part of the journey was the S Class Suburban Tank 3112.

Culled from a wealth of German newsreel footage and private sources, these images have been carefully chosen to give a broad appreciation and insight not only into the operations of the German armed forces, but also to the impact of the conflict on the home front, especially as it was brought home to the civilian population through the Allied bombing campaigns between 1942 and 1945. Brian Matthews narrates.

Description
Muammar El-Qaddafi is one of the wealthiest and most powerful men in the world. In 1969, at the tender age of 27, he strategically became the ruler of Libya. His uncanny ability to organize, while simultaneously annihilating his enemies, has allowed him to reign over Libya for over 40 years. This is the riveting and controversial story of how a modest desert nomad transcended into a major power in the Middle East.
