Description
Two handwritten pages contain notes on fishing practices and magic of the Trobriand Islanders associated with sharks, with a small sketch of a fish hook, plus a brief list of crops they raise. Some of the notes are crossed out in black or red pencil. The notes are written on the back of, and even in the margins of, a typed, unsigned letter from a physician in Port Moresby, New Guinea, advising Malinowski on the treatment of intestinal parasites.
