The strings are played with the nails, for instance, which makes for a more crisp and defined sound. This decidedly pre-modern has a gloriously acoustic sound. Tim, and will transport you not only to other worlds, but to another time within those worlds. Tim is known for his exceptionally great production values and attention to detail, so his music has this clean yet warm, sensual sound that falls very gracefully on the ears. The intimate focus of a single source of music provides a distinctly non-Western listening experience; the word "Qadim," in fact, is an Arabic one referring to music performed in an "old style", and according to traditional concepts.
