WASHINGTON, D.C.--Historic scenes as the special session of Congress sounds the death knell of the embargo act, opening U.S. doors to billions of dollars in Allied arms orders. Pres. Roosevelt signs the epochal document!
BROOKLYN, N.Y.--Fighting planes for England, delayed by the embargo, are taken on barges to be rushed to Europe's war front.
LOS ANGELES, CALIF.--The Douglas airplane factory, as well as the Lockheed plant, hum with activity as production is started on 7,800 planes to be ordered by France and Britain.
