A report on the 14-month-old air war against ISIS (ISIL, Daesh) from inside the military operations floor at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar. Every plane flying over Iraq and Syria is being tracked from here. 60 MINUTES cameras capture a B-1 bomber, in real-time, striking a car-bomb factory with secondary explosions indicating explosives were inside. The air war costs the U.S. $10 million a day, launching aircraft from bases in Kuwait, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan and Turkey. The estimated number of enemy fighters remains unchanged, twenty to thirty thousand, because ISIS has been able to replace the dead with new recruits. Includes interviews with: various American air crew flyers (unidentified due to potential death threats); Lieutenant Colonel David Haworth; and Lieutenant General Charles Brown, commander of the air war.

Having Served as a CIA analyst for 27 years, Ray McGovern speaks candidly about the creation of the Agency, the deceit that lead to the invasion of Iraq, the questionable character of George Tenet, and more. In stark frankness, McGovern examines the politicization of the Central Intelligence Agency and how it came to be an entity that serves the White House agenda, instead of one that serves up the unbiased truth. Disgusted by the lack of integrity exhibited by members of the intelligence community and U.S. government, McGovern retired and eventually co-created VIPS (Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity) - an organization dedicated to exposing the mishandling of important intelligence, particularly with regard to the War on Iraq.Full of inside information you have never heard before aqbout the way in which our nation's most secretive agency operates.

SUPERPOWER goes behind the scenes of America’s national security apparatus and military operations to illustrate America’s quest for global dominance through economic and military strategy. Framed by dozens of interviews with notable experts like historian Noam Chomsky, Commander Eric Haney (founder of Delta Force, the Army’s counter-terrorist arm), and Dr. Sergei Khrushchev, son of Nikita Khrushchev, who offer analysis of U.S. foreign policy, SUPERPOWER exposes this quest with a comprehensive review of historical events and archival footage. What emerges is a view of U.S. international policy in stark contrast to that depicted by mainstream media and U.S. heads of state.
