What is Hinduism? This film provides insight into the world's third largest religion which has over a billion followers and has been practiced for over 3,000 years. It is a local trip, since it focuses on the district of La Chapelle in Paris. In the temple of Ganesh / Sri Manicka, the filmmaker participates in pujas then listens to the story of a Brahman. An initiate, Dharmachandra, explains the basics of Hinduism. Finally, in a "cine-trance" faithful to Jean Rouch, the film restores the procession in homage to Ganesh which, each year, brings together nearly 100,000 people in the streets of Paris.
