DULLES' RESIGNATION SORROWFULLY ACCEPTED
At temporary White House quarters in Augusta, Ga., President Eisenhower sadly announces that John Foster Dulles has resigned as Secretary of State because, stricken with cancer he is incapacitated for carrying on the administrative load of his office. In his drama-packed announcement the President said Mr. Dulles would continue to serve as foreign policy adviser. Mr. Eisenhower led the nation and the world in paying tribute to the seventy-one year old Mr. Dulles - his wisdom, his devotion and his courage. A truly great public figure.

EISENHOWER DEDICATES MEMORIAL TO THE LATE SENATOR ROBERT A. TAFT:
Ohio Republican.--At the TAFT BELL TOWER Memorial ceremony attended by ex-President Herbert Hoover and members of the President's cabinet, as well as all the top officers of the Democratic Congress in addition to more than 5,000 spectators. The Taft carillon memorializes a man of Congress as "Mr. Republican", and who in 1952 lost his final battle for the Presidential nomination to General Dwight D. Eisenhower. He died in July 1953 at the age of sixty-three.
