Hectic scenes mark the infamous shooting, the arrest of Giuseppe Zangara, the anarchist mad-man, and the hurried efforts to succor the victims. Unscathed, the future President heads the first-aid and emergency measures in rushing his close friend and supporter, Cermak and the others to a near-by hospital. Zangara, quizzed by an iron ring, maintains his defiance and gloats over his deed.
