HUNGNAM EVACUATION COMPLETED
KOREA--The great strategic withdrawal from North Korea is dramatically pointed up by the successful evacuation of Hungnam by the 10th Army Corps, in the face of strong Chinese Red attacks. More than 100,000 United Nations troops are withdrawn, along with thousands of vehicles and tons of equipment. But the joy over this success is tempered by the death of the 8th Army's dynamic General Walker, killed in a Jeep accident.
HOLY YEAR ENDS
VATICAN CITY--With the closing of the famous door at St. Peter's by Pope Pius XII, Holy Year comes to an end. His Holiness officiates as gold bricks are used to seal off the opening, through which hundreds of thousands of pilgrims passed during the Jubilee celebration.

SKI HERO HONORED
BEAR MOUNTAIN--On the ski jump on which he made many of his records. Torger Tokle is honored in a memorial contest by some of the country's outstanding jumpers. Tokle was killed in Italy while leading his mountain troops to the attack.

NEW YORK--The 82nd Airborne arrive, and they're all proud foster pappies to the seven-month-old Glass triplets, whose father is an American GI and mother a British girl. Already they have raised more than $4,000 for the babies.

Every foot of the coronation procession route is occupied by eager spectators.
HISTORIC CEREMONY
In the hush of Westminster Abbey's vastness peers and peeresses in scarlet ceremonial robes witness the supreme moment, when, after being annointed by the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Queen has placed on her head the crown of St. Edward. She is then enthroned. All the pageantry originated since the day of William the Conqueror and the subsequent days of feudal chivalry enter into the ceremony.
A RADIANT QUEEN
The ritual over, Queen Elizabeth rides over a procession route that takes her through the ancient landmarks of London amid millions cheering themselves hoarse. Back at Buckingham palace she appears on the balcony with her family--the symbol of new hope for austerity-ridden Britain.
