Y. -- With her cargo of turpentine, resin and cotton threatened by a fire in her hold, the Savannah liner "City of Montgomery," reaches her berth with her thirty-three passengers unharmed. Members of the crew battled the blaze for thirty-two hours on the high seas before it is extinguished by firemen who pour tons of water into the boat while it is tied up at the pier.
