In 1953, Haydée Santamaria participated in the first gesture of the revolutionary epic. A few years later, Célia Sanchez joined the ranks of the rebel army. She meets Haydée. She becomes his friend and his companion in arms. After the victory, Haydée Santamaria was appointed President of the "House of the Americas", a prestigious cultural institution open to the whole of Latin America and Célia Sanchez became the personal secretary of the Revolution, the discreet link between Fidel Castro and the needy. For the next twenty years, through their actions and their rejection of dogmatism, Haydée and Célia worked to preserve at all costs the original fire of the Revolution. By taking the double path of intimate memory and historical investigation, this film offers the portrait of two women who, through their exceptional career, have been able to mark the imagination of a nation.

Tanks were first used during the Battle of the Somme in 1916 to break the deadlock of trench warfare on the Western Front. While Britain and France built thousands of tanks Germany only developed and brought into service 20 vehicles of a single design. During the Cold War, however, they would not continue to be produced in huge numbers but the technology advanced dramatically making them much more effective.
