Note: According to Clausen's informants at Brenway [Branwei], Big Nambas women's teeth are knocked out, after marriage but before children are born. It 'opens the road' to them, and is like boys' initiation. Ni-Lit is danced by the community concerned during the 30 days' seclusion, two or three times.

BiLagh, by Navai Ligh [Big Nambas] of Amokh. This [according to field notes] is danced the night before the yam posts go up, afterwards the date is fixed for Nuralnass [Nuvalnass ? TRS can't read the handwriting]. Clausen [in conversation] however, could not recall whether yam posts were indeed erected on this particular occasion, or whether the Amokh people sang and danced BiLagh to demonstrate what they would sing.

3) Sung version of track 2, a mourning song, performed by women or a widow.

2) 'larger' Bu Ver Ver, sung by women (or widow), about their desire to see the men dance Naleng. This is followed by tunings of the individual pipes.
3) Raising the new Miren [Mother Drum] by the Navai Ligh. After hauling the drum to the dancing ground, it is left on it's side for several days and decorated with flowers. The hauling of this drum to the dancing ground was recorded on 1993.6.109.
