Indian Broom finishes third, six lengths behind the leaders. The greatest throng in many years swarms into Louisville by every conceivable method of transportation. John Q. Dohp plunges on a "hot" tip, trying to recoup his losses on the Irish Sweepstakes. His nerves crumble as the bang-tails sweep around the turn into the stretch. His tip is good, he wins,--but he's chewed up his ticket in the excitement!
