ITALIAN TAKES VANDERBILT CUP DASH
WESTBURY, N. Y.--Europe's foremost daredevil of the road, Tazio Nuvolari, averages the terrific speed of sixty-six miles an hour on the turning, twisting course of the new Roosevelt Raceway as he leads forty-five American and foreign speedsters to the finish line in a grinding, thrilling three hundred mile battle for the Vanderbilt Cup. Sixty thousand racing fans jam the stands, with an estimated 150,000 persons seeing part or all of the great classic. Four and a half hours, the drivers push their roaring machines around the track through a maze of dangerous loops and hurtling down the straightaway. Motion pictures made thirty years ago show the thrills of the race of 1906.

TOLEDO, O.--An amazing new motor which runs on vaporized gasoline, crude oil or alcohol is demonstrated by its inventor. The mechanism can be operated at a cost of 20 cents a hundred miles and so completely utilizes the fuel there is virtually no exhaust.
