Description
Daniel Estrem's transcriptions of Bach's work begins with the brilliant Partita no. 1 (BWV 825). Many would consider this to be the most light-hearted of the six Partitas for keyboard. Underlying the playful nature of the music is a dense concentration of musical ideas and detail.

This recording is destined to become a landmark for the classical ukulele. In addition to introducing a novel melodic voice, the ukulele gives a unique blend with the classical guitar. The full spectrum of sound is used with the ukulele reaching the high end while the 8-string guitar deals adeptly with the bass. The ukulele is heard on tracks 1, 3, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, 31.
