Meet Ms Rebiya Kadeer, a human rights activist twice nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. She is the impassioned though graying exiled leader of the Uyghurs, a Muslim people whose ancestral home, East Turkestan, was annexed by the Chinese in 1949 and re-named Xinxiang province. Since then the Chinese have dominated politically, culturally and economically, much as they have done in Tibet. Ms Kadeer was fiercely nationalistic since her youth. Married off at an early age and bearing six children in close succession, she was divorced by her husband for her activism. Penniless, she rose through her wits and industry to become one of the wealthiest people in China, after Deng ushered in an era of capitalism. Remaining politically active, she paid the price. Several of her sons languish in Chinese prisons while she and her second husband, in exile, keep alive the protest movement from abroad. Using archival footage, the film traces the violent conflict between Chinese and Uyghurs. She is the tireless head of the Uyghur American Association, based in Washington DC, where she lobbies Congress to press for human rights in China. College Adult

When their romance ended, Dellapenta assumed a new internet identity and logged on as a young woman harbouring sado-masochistic rape fantasies. He posted Brandi Barber's address and phone number on bulletin boards and internet chat rooms - inviting men to come and knock on her door. Six perverts did - usually in the middle of the night and, in this special documentary from the Panorama team, Brandi Barber reveals the terror she felt, in her first interview since the stalking took place.

On 15 December 1961 in Jerusalem, Adolf Eichmann was sentenced to death for crimes against the Jewish people and against humanity. While this judgment was met with consensus on a national level, some spoke out against it. On 29 May 1962, a group of Holocaust survivors and intellectuals, including philosophers Hannah Arendt, Hugo Bergmann, Martin Buber and Gershom Scholem, rejected an epilogue to the trial they believed was inappropriate and sent a petition to President Yitzhak Ben-Zvi to demand Eichmann's death sentence be commuted. By opposing Eichmann's execution, they raised questions about the Holocaust, and also defended the values of Judaism, raising questions about Jewish morality for Israel and the nature of a Jewish State. Historians, philosophers, and Israeli eyewitnesses set out the facts, go over the philosophical arguments, and return to a debate that, while central to that era, remains valid today and deserves to be revisited.
In 1961, Adolf Eichmann was sentenced to death for crimes against the Jewish people and against humanity. While this judgment was met with consensus on a national level, some spoke out against it.

Over 90% of the world's opium now comes from Afghanistan. This no-holds barred documentary follows this illicit industry, from the cultivation of the opium plants, to the processing of heroin, to the cross border smuggling that occurs between Afghanistan and Iran. The cameras actually catch the ambush of smugglers by Iranian guards in the rocky mountains of Afghanistan. We watch as opium is processed into heroin in the Afghan highlands. By using a car jack, the raw material is pressed, diluted, heated, and pressed again. The unlikely looking mixture is now ready for export. The film focuses on the Afghan tribal leader who brokers the deal for the 400 villagers supplying him with opium. They depend on his patronage for their livelihood. Opium is the cash crop; without it their survival is at risk. For the Afghans it is a no win situation. For the much needed cash, the Afghans are faced with a grave problem. Their own young are turning to drugs. Traditionally drug addiction was one problem the Afghans never faced. After thirty years of war, Afghanistan is in ruins. College Adult

The unbelievable story of one of the most incredible groups in America, who save lives every day in the Alaskan wilderness. Oh, and by the way, they’re all kids.
The Dragon Slayers is usually an all-girl group.
In 2003, Land Rover donated a truck to the teen rescue squad.
The Dragon Slayers travel 1000 miles just to give half-hour community health demonstrations.
A&E proudly presents a very special profile of an extraordinary group of kids. Go on-call with the overachieving teens from Aniak, Alaska, a town of fewer than 600 people that’s 350 miles from the nearest road system.
The Dragon Slayers, aged thirteen to seventeen and primarily Native Americans, are a very special part of this remote community. In an environment so demanding that adults can’t spare the time to volunteer, these kids have taken on the duty of saving lives. By truck, snowmobile, helicopter, or foot, these kids are always at the ready – whether in class or kicking back – to respond to any emergency within an area the size of Maryland.
They've done it all, from rescuing plane crash survivors to rushing babies out of burning buildings, and our cameras go with them as they save a heart attack victim and aid a man in danger of freezing to death. You will be amazed at the commitment and maturity of these remarkable young people, and you will be inspired by the difference in their lives – and in the lives of their neighbors – that being a Dragon Slayer has made.

In 2008, former Blur bassist Alex James released an unapologetic account of his hedonistic heyday in which he claimed to have consumed a million pounds worth of coke and champagne. That prompted Colombia's then president, Alvaro Uribe, to invite James to his country to see the damage wrought by cocaine. James agreed and, with characteristic self-assurance, made this documentary about the trip.
