When their romance ended, Dellapenta assumed a new internet identity and logged on as a young woman harbouring sado-masochistic rape fantasies. He posted Brandi Barber's address and phone number on bulletin boards and internet chat rooms - inviting men to come and knock on her door. Six perverts did - usually in the middle of the night and, in this special documentary from the Panorama team, Brandi Barber reveals the terror she felt, in her first interview since the stalking took place.

See how a rash of deaths in California hospitals led to a controversial death sentence for a nurse.
In the Spring of 1981 people were dying at an alarming rate at a small hospital near Los Angeles. In six weeks, 24 people died in the intensive care unit at the Community Hospital of the Valleys in Perris.
Investigators soon detected two patterns in the deaths--the majority of the victims suffered seizures and turned blue before they died, and the nurse on duty was the same in many cases. Investigators focused on the nurse, Robert Rubane Diaz, who had come to the hospital from Indiana two years before. When it was determined that many of the deaths were due to an overdose of the heart-regulating drug lidocaine--and that Diaz had syringes and lidocaine at his home--he was arrested. LETHAL INJECTION chronicles the many strange turns the case has taken since. Diaz waived his right to a jury trial, and his defense only called 12 witnesses to the state's 70-plus. In addition, medical studies suggesting that lidocaine very likely was not the main factor in the deaths was ignored. Today, Diaz is on death row and has exhausted all his appeals, though a ray of hope remains.
Filled with interviews with those closest to the case, including the coroner, former public defender and Diaz' current lawyer, this is an in-depth look at one of the most unusual cases in the annals of AMERICAN JUSTICE®.

Lionel Tate was a 170-pound, 12-year-old boy who played rough one day with his friend, 48-pound, 6-year-old Tiffany Eunick. When Tiffany died from injuries, Lionel claimed that he only used wrestling holds that he'd seen on TV. But prosecutors charged Lionel with first-degree murder.
Would the jury believe that Tiffany died of innocent child's play--or would they put Lionel behind bars? Interviewees include defense attorney James Lewis, who used the controversial 'wrestling defense' strategy.

A man on trial for a violent crime attacks a sheriff's deputy and obtains a gun. He then stalks the courthouse, guns down the judge at his trial, a court reporter, and another sheriff's deputy, and make his escape before a police dragnet can close around him. Even as the news of Brian Nichols' attack at the Fulton County Courthouse in Atlanta recedes into memory, the question of how and why he was able to do it still reverberate. The questions are even more acute in light of the attack just 11 days earlier at the home of Federal Judge Susan Lefkow in Chicago that left her husband and mother dead. Three appellate judges in Texas who were ambushed by a gun-wielding madman 13 years ago come together for the first time in the courtroom where they were attacked to share their memories, and what has happened since then.

Most men don't know when or how they will die. Darnell Williams does. It's June 2004 and in one month, he will be strapped to a gurney at Indiana State Prison and administered a lethal injection--unless his lawyer can save him. COUNTDOWN TO AN EXECUTION offers an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at defense attorney Juliet Yackel's quest to keep her client from being killed. But to win an eleventh-hour clemency, she'll first have to convince a state parole board to vote in her client's favor, something the board has never done for a death row inmate.
Through detailed analysis of the evidence and intimate interviews with those closest to the case, AMERICAN JUSTICE® chronicles Williams' ordeal from the crime to the increasingly frantic appeals. Even after assembling an unprecedented coalition of supporters, including some of the jurors who originally convicted him, his fate remains unclear.
