Devoted husband. Trusted doctor. Respected member of the community. Serial killer. Harold Shipman was the mild-mannered physician who fooled a nation, secretly killing over 250 people over a 30-year period. Featuring exclusive and intimate interviews with the only psychiatrist to ever assess him, his colleague from Pontefract Hospital where he began killing, and relatives of his victims, this series traces Shipman's story from his early childhood to the eventual unravelling of decades of deceit that led to his conviction. Using dramatic reconstructions of his crimes, in particular the 12 people he murdered in the same tower block, Harold Shipman offers a fascinating but chilling insight into the mind, methods and motivation of a callous killer.

Once a member of the Sicilian Mafia has been initiated by having the image of a saint branded on his palm and mingled his blood with that of his Godfather, there is no going back. He is a Mafioso for life, and any breach of I'omerta, the law of silence on Mafia matters, is punishable by death. When Claudio Samperi, for years a mafia boss in Catania, defected to the police, the Mafia put up a reward of half a million Euros for his head. But Samperi managed to escape via a crime witness protection program. In this video he provides a unique insider account of life in the Mafia. It;s a story of blackmail, murder and drug dealing; but also of the wives and mistresses of the Mafia bosses, and of the luxuries that life as a man of honor in Catania afforded Samperi. He also provides startling revelations about cooperation between the Mafia and members of the upper echelons of Italian professional society.

This gripping documentary exposes the alarming rise of sexual predators on the Internet. In this fast growing criminal arena, one in five young people with Internet access are sexually approached on the web. The predators slip silently into homes, assuming false identites to attract their unsuspecting victims. A Stranger in Our Home tells the disturbing tale of two teenagers. Believing he was exploring sexuality with another 13-year old boy, Daniel shared all his secrets with his online friend. In reality he was talking to a 59-year-old pedophile who eventually persuaded him to leave his family in Canada and meet him in the U.S. In another example, Stephanie agreed to meet her teenage boyfriend in a motel parking lot after establishing an Internet relationship with him. He turned out to be a married man in his 40’s with children. These cases become even more frightening when we hear details of such stalking from the confession of a jailed pedophile. The police are having a difficult time catching up with these virtual criminals. Adult College High School

When a sexual predator is released from jail, his accusers often worry that they may now be at risk, or that he will return to their community, placing others in danger. In the situation presented in this compelling film, it is the convicted criminal who is being stalked and hounded by his former victims. Bobby Oatway was sent to prison for ten years for having sexually molested his children and other family members. When learning of his release to a halfway house in a distant community, his former sistersin-law began a media campaign to identify him as a sexual predator. This was taken up by a local politician, who organized rallies to protest and picket the group home around the clock. The endless chanting was nerve wracking. Oatway's fellow residents turned against him after learning that he is a pedophile. He felt physically threatened by them and by the protestors. His parole officers, seeking a solution, set him up with an escort every time he went out. This surveillance made Oatway feel as though he was still in jail. He and the parole officers feared that he might 'snap.' In the end Oatway requested to be returned to prison.
The film raises the question of whose rights are to be upheld criminal, the victims, or the community?
