A letter from Barbara Gittings of the Daughters of Bilitis in New York to Hal Call at Pan-Graphic Press asks for copies of a book, ''Gay Bar,'' to be sold after a lecture. In an answering letter, Call regrets that the current printing has run out, and that a second printing won't be ready by the lecture date.

A letter from Jeannette Foster in New York to Hal Call at Pan-Graphic Press contains an order for a book, ''Gay Bar.'' and inquires about the possibility of PGP publishing some lesbian novelettes she has written. In a reply letter, Call encourages Foster to send her manuscripts, and explains the way PGP works on behalf of gay publications and its expansion into book publishing.

A seven-page package of documents includes brochures from Dorian Book Service, listing books for sale and promoting in particular ''The Gay Cookbook'' by Lou Rand Hogan. They are accompanied by: a slip noting the takeover of Cosmo Book Sales by Dorian; an errata slip; a small, brown envelope bearing Dorian's San Francisco address; and a business-size envelope bearing the letterhead of Call, Lucas Associates.
