Somewhere in shadowy post-war Vienna, where everyone has something to sell on the black market, lurks “the third man” who witnessed the murder of Harry Lime. Novelist Holly Martins is haunted by the death of his friend. His search for the killer makes electrifying drama, in this witty and sophisticated adaptation of the Graham Greene novel. Compromised medicine on the black market Being framed for a crime Holly evades Tyler, ducks into a room and is bitten by a parrot as he escapes out a window. At Calloway's office, the Major shows Holly the file he has on Harry. Harry was stealing penicillin, watering it down and selling it on the black market. The children who were victims either died or went mad. Calloway says he had Harbin ready to testify against Kurtz and Lime, then Harbin disappeared. Holly is finally convinced Harry was guilty. He wants to leave Vienna. Holloway arranges it. Brodsky comes in to say he's going to pick Anna up for forged papers.
