With lightning wit and scathing insight into the true nature of genius, Austin Pendleton’s new play opens the private worlds of these very public people, exposing their warmth, their egos, and their glittering madness. Orson, speaking to Ken, implies that Larry is trying to redirect Rhinoceros. Sean announces arrival of Karry and Joan, who enter. Joan has brought scones and she, Orson, and Larry eat them throughout scene. There is tension between Orson and Larry. Ken states that the issue is that Orson feels Larry ruined him in Hollywood in 1948. All are appalled to hear this spoken aloud.
