Their wool is keenly sought-after for a variety of uses. The strength and purity of the wool has helped a small welsh company realize its dream to produce truly organic bedding. Green Donkeys- the 14th century town of Castelbuono is already top of the list for recycling in Sicily, and the mayor has enlisted the services of Teresa the donkey and three of her friends in the battle against Pollution. US E-waste- The United States Government estimates that Americans generate more than three-million tons of electronic waste every year. UK Wind Power- Rising 108 metres above sea level, these wind turbines are the very visible face of Britain’s first offshore commercial wind farm, powering over 30,000 homes.

Green Island- For decades, thousands of political dissidents were imprisoned on Taiwan’s Green Island. Today, thousands of carefree tourists flock to the lush island with its coral reefs and spectacular marine Life. But this diving oasis is under threat--mainly from the tourists themselves. Plug-in Car- Japanese car manufacturer, Toyota, has a long history of hybrid vehicle development. Its Prius was the world’s first mass-produced hybrid vehicle. The company maintains its commitment, currently running government-certified road tests on its new plug-in hybrids. Green Gift Company- At international gift showcase, the Birmingham Spring Fair, a company selling unusual green gifts drew a lot of interest. The biodegradable packaging on Grobox Gardens says it all. It’s a garden in a box--simply plant, add water and in a little over a month, you could have a garden of flowers, fruit or vegetables to enjoy. China Pandas To Spain- Drop in to your local zoo and you’re bound to see exotic animals from the other side of the globe. It’s all part of a worldwide cooperation to conserve the species as well as giving us the pleasure of seeing these diverse animals. But what are the sheer logistics of sending an elephant to Berlin, a rhino to Budapest, or a panda to Madrid? Recently, China found out, when it fulfilled its promise to send not one, but two giant pandas to Madrid zoo.
