For over 35 years, Emanuel Ungaro was on a quest to seduce women. Spring 2001 was the last time Ungaro took a solo bow on his runway. In Fall 2001 Ungaro came out on the runway with his young protege, Giambattista Valli. The young Italian was subsequently credited with bringing a fresh view to the house. After 6 years, Valli's contract was not renewed. Valli has been succeeded by Vincent Darre, Peter Dundas, and Esteban Cortazar.
