Abstract / Summary: Eight printed pages comprise a glossary of the dialect of the natives of Kiwai Island in the Fly River delta of Papua-New Guinea, compiled by British New Guinea Administrator William MacGregor and reported to have been originally published in the Annual Report on British New Guinea, 1889-1890. The document includes an abridged version of the Royal Geographic Society's 'System of Orthography for Native Names of Places,' adopted around 1885; as well as lists of Kiwai chiefs, villages, etc. A note written in pencil in the upper right corner reads 'Papuan.'
