Abstract / Summary
Two pages supporting a section on social structure and a fifth chapter on chiefs, as outlined in the preceding documents, contains a column of typed numbers, possibly referring to lines in a draft manuscript of 'Coral Gardens and Their Magic.' Most numbers are accompanied by topical references, typed and handwritten, related to to chiefs and chieftainship, such as rank, tribute, privileges and insignia; with a few terms in indigenous text.
