Abstract / Summary
Five pages contain notes, hand-written in green pen, about magical rites or formulas having to do with fishing, probably taken during Firth's 1939-40 trip to Malaysia. His informant appears to be named Nik Pring. The notes may have been used in support of his 1946 book, 'Malay Fishermen: Their Peasant Economy.'
