The fast-paced series following UK paramedics is back with more stories about life on the front line. It follows 15 ambulance teams based in several emergency hubs, capturing medical emergencies happening simultaneously across the West Midlands region. Footage from body cams and cameras rigged inside the ambulances is cut with retrospective interviews, offering unprecedented access to the action and challenges. Cases include a man resuscitated after a heroin overdose, a woman about to give birth and a 19-year-old with potentially fatal sepsis. Also the desperately sad story of a man who will take his final journey when he’s moved from his home to a hospice, and the emergency call every paramedic dreads: a patient having a major heart attack, seconds away from a cardiac arrest.
