Four thousand years ago Abraham, considered the forefather of Judaism, Christianity and Islam, journeyed from the Iraqi desert to Arabia to Canaan. Today, we cross the borders of 8 countries following Abrahams footsteps in order to create a new film experience - the first co-production between an Israeli and a Jordanian. Abraham left Ur of the Chaldees, located in todays Iraq, on his long and complicated odyssey of thousands of miles to come to the land of Canaan, today shared by Israel and the Palestinians. This film follows that journey. After fifty years of hostility Israeli and Jordanians cooperated in producing a film on their common ancestry. It is the fascinating story of the life of Abraham with a unique Biblical, Koranic, and historical background. Against the dramatic background of the geographic variety of a different countries, this film reveals colorful ethnic diversity and traditions particular to the life of the inhabitants - some previously unphotographed. It also deals with the ancient lands varied religions from paganism and animist cults to Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Well-known Muslim Arab writer and actor Hisham Yanis from Jordan, and Alex Anski, a Jewish journalist, actor, and broadcaster from Israel, guide us as they converse and compare versions in the Torah and the Quran, in Hebrew and Arabic respectively. Representing the sons of Abraham -Isaac, claimed by the Jews and Christians as ancestor and Ishmael believed to be their progenitor by Muslims, the Jordanian and the Israeli travel together in the very lands of Abrahams sojourn, discussing the conflicts and problems of the past and of the present. They conclude with a hopeful message of coexistence. Additional scholars contribute commentary on various historic and religious interpretations.

Cem is a young Turk living in western Europe. He is sick of being associated with terrorism just because other young Muslims around the world are blowing themselves and innocent people up in the name of God.
Cem decides to find out what makes young Muslims so fanatical about religion, even when the western countries provide both education and the promise of a future. Cem's investigation confronts him with his own reflection: a young guy with the same background, Abdul Kadir, who serves a long term sentence for planning a terror act in Bosnia.
Cem sets out on a journey to meet the imprisoned Kadir – and a journey inside himself to investigate why two very similar boys have opted for such different directions in life. To Cem's astonishment he learns that it is simply a coincidence.
