In INTERVENTION, people confront their darkest demons and seek a route to redemption. From compulsive gamblers to shopaholics, drug addicts to young people estranged from their families, INTERVENTION features real people at the breaking point as they are confronted by friends and family. In fly-on-the-wall style, INTERVENTION captures the drama as people grapple with their demons in an attempt to chart a course to recovery.
In this episode, friends try to help Tamela, 24, who was molested as a child and now cuts herself with razorblades. Jerrie's addiction to Vicodin may be less dramatic, but she has been forging physician signatures on prescriptions and scouring the waterfront for dealers. Her family calls interventionist Jeff Van Vonderen for help.

36-year old Laney is well-spoken, outgoing, and wealthy.
Her alcohol addiction is causing her internal organs to fail.
Drink and depression have claimed her marriage and may claim her life.
Well-spoken, opulent, and outgoing, Laney appears to have everything a person could want. Nevertheless, she has a dependency on alcohol and attention that may claim her life.
After six years of steady drinking, her liver is only functioning at 20%. The years of drink have left her too weak to properly care for herself. Her family is frustrated, but Laney is so desperate for their attention, she is willing to attempt suicide. The years of drink and depression caused the dissolution of her marriage and an intervention is necessary before alcoholism claims her life. The professionals of INTERVENTION™, assist the family throughout the process. Will Laney get help before another trip to the ICU?
