- Abstract / Summary
- In this work, Caroline Ware recounts her experiences as a social worker in Latin America. Ware retains her professional demeanor to write this narrative as a social scientist’s account of events rather than as a personal commentary on her experiences in Latin America. Over her thirty years of social work, Ware observed changing methods of and ideas about community development and this work provides insight into these changes in the Latin American case. In addition, Ware describes her philosophy as a social worker.
