Abstract / Summary
At a lunch meeting of the Peace and Disarmament Committee of the Women’s International Organizations, Mrs. Corbett Ashby remarks on the need to continuing building worldwide public opinion in favor of the organization’s goals. She lists the need to promote mutual international security in the face of unknown and unforeseen threats as well as to promote the findings of an American investigation on the international control of arms. She notes as well the need to oppose the new manufacture of arms while simultaneously demanding that military officials define the “international obligations” which require arms funding. She ends by calling women, whom she notes have few political rights, to the pacifist cause to combat violence and corruption.
