- Abstract / Summary
- This document is a brief explanation of a feminist conference in Versailles, France, at which several notable figures in the late nineteenth century international feminist movement were present. Sarah Monod, for example, gave the opening speech and Madames Mallet, Bogelot, and Hudry-Ménos spoke respectively on generational progress for women’s rights, asking different questions of feminism in order to achieve better results, and a comparative look at women’s rights in Germany, the United States, Russia, and France. The author ends the brief conference proceedings by suggesting that it was women’s education which would ensure feminist progress in the future.
