Details
- Abstract / Summary
- T.C. Borrow is written inside front cover; dealer's price on flyleaf; 'by R.A. Minchin?' written on reverse of flyleaf. Included is A.D.B's entry for Minchin. Curator of Australian Art Rebecca Capes-Baldwin has inspected album and compared it with an album in the Art Gallery's collection. There was great similarity in a number of respects: the handwriting, the depiction of gum trees, rocks, use of water colour, ink, layout, style, etc. Moreover the places illustrated in the holdings of Minchin material at the State Library are largely the same as those in S.C.'s album, i.e., Clarendon, River Murray.
