- Abstract / Summary
- Mac Sledge (Robert Duvall – ¬The Godfather, Apocalypse Now) is down and out. A former American music legend, Mac is now an alcoholic, whose fall from grace has left him washed up as he wakes up broke and alone on a Texas motel room floor. When the motel owner Rosa Lee (Tess Harper – No Country for Old Men) finds Mac penniless and with nowhere to go she takes pity on him, o ffering him work at the motel in exchange for a room. Desperate to turn his life around, with Rosa’s help Mac resolves to salvage both his career as a musician and his relationship with his estranged daughter, Sue Anne (Ellen Barkin – Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas).
