- Date: 27.6.18. Place: Omarakana (Kiriwina). Informant: Tokwaka'u. A passage in the Trobriand language with English commentary, numbered J261, is the text of an informant's private boast to Malinowski about the power of his magic and his friendliness with the chief. The information is written on the back of reused stationery, consisting of a handwritten letter dated 1.7.19 from Elsie Malinowska in Melbourne, Australia, to Messrs. Melville and Mullen, disputing a bill for magazine subscriptions.
