Title: Appeal. Description: Manuscript of an appeal of the Association for the Civil and Political Emancipation of Romanian Women (AECPFR) to Romanian politicians, from 1920 when the new constitution was under discussion. In the appeal, AECPFR brought arguments in support of women’s entitlement to full civil and political rights and pointed to the legal injustice of overlooking these rights while women possessed the same qualifications that entitled men at the universal male suffrage. The arguments in behalf of granting women political and civil rights were very diverse and meant to convince politicians to offer their support in including them in the new constitution.
