Abstract / Summary
Date: 1972. Two typewritten letters referencing the Tikopia Development Fund. The first, dated October 9, 1972, is from National Westminster Bank, London, to Raymond Firth, Australian National University, Canberra. Mentions a draft for 100 Australian dollars for the development fund. Written on National Westminster Bank letterhead. The second, dated October 17, 1972, is from Firth to Mr. Russell at Kirakira, Solomon Islands, enclosing a check for $100 for the fund. Firth mentions recent hurricane damage at Namo and Ravenga and says he plans to visit the Solomons in February. Attached are receipts for the bank draft.
